Aamina Ahmad

Aamina Ahmad is an Assistant Town Attorney for the Town of Greenwich and has served in this capacity since 2000. She is an experienced trial attorney, representing the Town in significant litigation matters, handling both jury and non-jury trials. She also routinely counsels Town departments and elected officials on various aspects of municipal and State law and compliance. Additionally, she serves as primary legal counsel to the Town’s harbor management commission and its retirement board.

Aamina graduated from Pace Law School. Prior to working for the Town Attorney’s Office, she practiced law with the firm of Cacace Tusch & Santagata in Stamford, primarily in the areas of zoning and land use appeals. Prior to that and upon graduating from law school, Aamina was a temporary assistant clerk at the New Haven Superior Court.

Aamina grew up in Hyderabad, India. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Osmania University before moving to the United States with her family.

Aamina is active in the local legal community. She is a past President of the Greenwich Bar Association and recently completed a 4-year term on the board of the Fairfield County Bar Association. She also served as President of the Fairfield County Bar Foundation, a charitable arm of the Fairfield County Bar Association. She is a recipient of the 2004 BRAVA Award for Professional Excellence and Volunteer Achievement from the Greenwich YWCA.
Aamina is a member of the Greenwich, Fairfield County and Connecticut Bar Associations and the Connecticut Association of Municipal Attorneys. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York.
