Prerna Rao

Attorney Prerna Rao currently serves on the SABAC Board of Directors. She is the principal and founder of Omnia Law, LLC, helping individuals and small and medium sized businesses and nonprofits with commercial litigation, business and real estate transactions, and select personal injury and medical malpractice matters. Prerna has been recognized by various institutions for her work as a litigator, including by Senator Blumenthal in 2021 and by the CT Law Tribune as a New Leader in the Law in 2019, and most recently by the Quinnipiac University School of Law Alumni Association in 2024 the area of diversity, equity, and inclusion. She has also been named to the Super Lawyers list every year since 2017 and has been named in Best Lawyers, Women in the Law and Ones to Watch since 2022 in the areas of civil and commercial litigation.

Prerna is passionate about giving back and has served as a past president and current member of the board of directors of the Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association (CAPABA) in addition to the board of directors for the South Asian Bar Association of Connecticut (SABAC). She is active in her local community and regularly volunteers with area high school and law school mock trial and moot court events, and serves as an elected official on her town’s zoning board of appeals.
