Namita Tripathi Shah

Namita Shah is a past president of SABAC and has served on the Board of Directors since 2009.   She previously also held the positions of Vice President and Treasurer.  She has led several SABAC committees and initiatives during her tenure with the organization.  
Namita is a partner at the law firm of Day Pitney LLP where she is the Chair of the firm’s Private Equity and Finance business unit and a member of the firm’s Municipal Finance and Institutional Finance and Commercial Lending practice group. She is actively involved in all aspects of public finance and represents issuers, borrowers, underwriters and trustees in tax-exempt and taxable financings. She has extensive experience with general state and municipal law and tax and securities laws in that space. She was recently elected by her peers as a Fellow of the American College of Bond Counsel. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Bar Foundation as well as a James W. Cooper Fellow of the foundation and serves on the advisory board of the Pro Bono Partnership. Namita obtained her law degree, magna cum laude, from Boston University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, from the University of Connecticut.
